A New Alternative to Cremation for Pets

As lifelong animal lovers, we know how much your pet means to you and how difficult it is when they pass. When we decided to go into business together, our goal was to create a more personalized approach to end-of-life care for pets and their "people." We also made the commitment that compassionate end-of-life services would be affordable and accessible to all.  Our mission was clear from the start.

Friends since 7th grade, Jill Goldstein and Jennifer Ryan have worked together on several mission-focused projects over the years. Jennifer served on the board of Jill's non-profit animal rescue organization and Jill has supported Jennifer's efforts to ensure that local food shelves are able to provide pet food to families utilizing their services. They have always shown up for each other.

.Jennifer Ryan joined the veterinary world following a 30-year career in human health care where she worked to improve the health care system to ensure that every family has access to high-quality care they can afford. Jill Goldstein has been a leader in the animal rescue community for the past 15 years and still serves as the Executive Director of Pause 4 Paws.

Over dinner one evening in the fall of 2023, an idea was born -- to create a more compassionate veterinary care experience for families and pets. They spent nearly a year honing their vision for the experience they wanted to offer families, conducted research, and learned all they could about Aquamation. Once we learned there was a gentler, more environmentally-responsible alternative to cremation, we never looked back. The Aquamation process is both energy efficient and provides a peaceful final journey for pets. Together, they launched Aqua Bridge in September 2025.

We think you will agree that Aquamation is the best, most respectful and dignified way to honor the bond we share with our pets. Our goal is for Aqua Bridge to become the next generation in end-of-life care for pets in Minnesota and beyond.
